What Type of Safe Do You Need?

All our safes, security devices and secure containers are tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories, an independent certification organization.The MGM Security Group will offer you models from numerous categories after determining your security requirements, providing you with increased protection against mechanical, electrical and other types of tools.

All our safes, security devices and secure containers are tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories, an independent certification organization. All tests are performed by two experienced technicians from this organization at the same time.

Here is a description of the security standards applied to each category of safe (anti-theft and fire-resistant).

TL-15 Certified Protection Against Tool Attacks

This category covers safes designed to offer protection against entry by common mechanical and electrical tools, or any combination thereof. They may be provided with an opening in the body for night depository chute.

Performance tests have been conducted against the door and frame. The body is constructed of 1 in.-thick steel having a minimum tensile strength of 50,000 psi, or is of equivalent construction.

The TL-15 safe must withstand a 15 minutes clinical door attack against side grinders, pry bars, impact drills and other hand tools that are specified in the UL guidelines. The test is executed by 2 experienced UL technicians.

These safes are equipped with suitable anchors if required.

TL-30 Certified Protection Against Tool Attacks

This category covers safes designed to offer protection against entry by common mechanical and electrical tools, or any combination thereof. They may be provided with an opening in the body for night depository chute.

TRTL-30 Certified Protection Against Mechanical and Electrical Tools, as well as Cutting Torches

This category covers combination-locked chests and safes designed to offer protection against entry by common mechanical tools, electrical tools, cutting torches, or any combination of these means.

Performance tests have been conducted against the door and frame. The body is constructed of 4-1/2 in thick steel and composite material.

The TRTL-30 safe have to sustain a 30 minutes clinical door attack against a larger range of tools including side grinders, pry bars, impact drills, other hand tools and the Oxy-Fuel torches. The test is executed by 2 experienced UL technicians.

TRTL-30X6 Certified Optimal Protection

This category covers combination-locked chests and safes designed to offer protection against entry by common mechanical tools, electrical tools, cutting torches, or any combination of these means.

Performance tests have been conducted against the door and frame. The body is constructed of 4-1/2 in thick steel and composite material.
